National G&T Managers' Conference June 19-21, 2016

We’re glad you’ve chosen Alaska as the site for your spring conference and Chugach is pleased to be serving as the host utility for the event.   Welcome letter.

Hotel Information:

The Hotel Alyeska, Alaska’s premier year-round resort is nestled in a lush valley surrounded by mountain peaks, hanging glaciers and spectacular water views. The chateau-style hotel makes the perfect base camp for your Alaskan vacation. During your stay, you’ll experience supreme comfort with modern touches and rich native influences, bringing the natural beauty of Alaska’s great outdoors inside.

The Hotel Alyeska's phone number is 1-800-880-3880 and the link to their website is www.alyeskaresort.com. The group rate is: $255 - $295 per night.  The group code for making reservations for the G&T Managers' conference is GTF19C. The hotel will honor guest room rates three days before and three days after the conference based on availability. There will be a cruise ship in port during this time so demand for rooms will be high.  If you are interested in extending your stay we encourage you to book your reservation early. The cutoff date for all room reservations is May 20, 2016.

Transportation:

While Girdwood is within the Municipality of Anchorage, it is a distinct community of its own about 40 miles from the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. You’ll want to rent a car if you haven’t made other transportation arrangements.

Dress Code/Weather:

The dress code for this conference is business casual. Be prepared for temperatures in June to range from the 50’s – 70’s during the day and evening lows in the 40’s-50’s. What to pack and wear on your Alaska vacation is pretty simple: dress is casual, but dress in layers and wear comfortable shoes.
