Safety Presentations

Chugach's safety program reaches targeted audiences through advertising and demonstrations. Chugach targets 5th graders for the Safety City program, which coincides with their introduction to the principles of electricity within the Anchorage School District science curriculum. Through Chugach's Safety City presentation, school children and their teachers can learn about electricity and safety with a demonstration using miniature models and live electricity.

In 1994, Chugach received the Governor's Safety Media Award for its on-going safety program.
