Chugach to host candidate forum
Chugach Electric Association will host a forum for candidates running for the utility’s board of directors. As a cooperative, Chugach is governed by a seven-member board elected by and from its membership. The forum provides an opportunity for Chugach members to hear firsthand from candidates and ask them questions.
Three Chugach members are running for the two available seats on the cooperative’s board in this spring’s election. The seats are for 3-year terms.
The candidates in this year’s election are Sisi Cooper, Jim Nordlund and Steve Strait.
The candidate forum will begin at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, April 26, at Chugach’s headquarters building located at 5601 Electron Drive.
