Fuel surcharge increases for 3rd quarter

The Regulatory Commission of Alaska approved a change that increased the fuel surcharge to Chugach's retail customers effective July 1. The surcharge increased from 2.6110 cents per kilowatt-hour to 3.0630 cents per kwh, increasing the total kwh charge to 10.8218 cents for residential customers.

Consequently the monthly bill for a Chugach residential customer using 750 kwh of service rose from $84.02 to $87.41.
