Holiday lights are beautiful and inexpensive
Many people like to hang hundreds of lights to brighten Anchorage
during the holidays by decorating homes, trees and businesses with
strings of miniature lights.
The cost of decorating with lights is relatively inexpensive particularly when using lights
that consume less energy. It costs a Chugach residential customer less than a dollar a
month for the electric service when using 100 energy-saving miniature lights for
12 hours a day.
when decorating outdoors remember to always use only UL listed
outdoor lights.
