Chugach Electric Board Secretary David Cottrell gains SEC and Sarbanes Oxley expertise

David Cottrell, CPA and president, Mikunda Cottrell Accounting & Consultants, Inc., recently completed an advanced education course on the latest U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) developments and the Sarbanes Oxley Act. This additional expertise will provide the most recent information on the complex ramifications of SEC rules and regulations and Sarbanes Oxley to clients of Mikunda Cottrell and to Chugach Electric Association where Cottrell serves as board secretary and chairman of the audit committee.

In his role as Chugach audit committee chair Cottrell is responsible for review of all Chugach SEC compliance filings and for Chugach adherence to the requirements of Sarbanes Oxley.

Chugach is the largest electric utility in Alaska, providing power for Alaskans throughout the Railbelt through retail, wholesale and economy energy sales.
