| Free All-Day Home Energy Improvement Workshops Developed and taught by the Alaska Craftsman Home Program (http://www.alaska.net/~achp/wsfy2008.htm) These workshops are designed specifically for northern regions. These regions have very diverse climatic zones with extreme temperatures, as well as precipitation, soil, and cultural differences. All of these factors must be taken into consideration when designing workshop programs and building standards to meet the demands of every zone. Workshops are sponsored by AHFC and FREE to energy raters, contractors, people working in a weatherization program, or anyone interested in learning more about making their home more energy efficient. | Advanced Cold Climate Home Building Workshop This is a two-day, intensive workshop presenting energy-efficient building techniques for builders, designers, planners, and homeowners. It is an excellent opportunity to learn the latest construction methods related to residential energy efficiency. The $350 tuition includes the manual, the ACHP test & certificate, workshop instruction, 16 Continuing Education Credit Hours and lunch both days. |
