Chugach will cost share with a limited number of commercial members willing to host workplace EV charging facilities with the primary intent to serve employee charging needs. Workplace locations must have 25 employees or more to qualify for this program. The facilities may also be used to serve customers and the public, at the applicant’s discretion.
Members must agree to install, own, make available and pay the electric bill for Level 2 or Level 3 EV charging facilities for at least 36 months following installation. The program is open to any Small General Service or Large General Service member for installations at properties in the Chugach service territory.
Chugach will provide reimbursement of up to $5,000 towards the installed costs per charger for up to three Level 2 or Level 3 chargers with one or two connectors per charger. An applicant may be approved for more than one charger.
Members must complete an application and, following approval from Chugach, provide proof of purchase and installation in order to be reimbursed. Charging equipment must have been installed after October 1, 2020. Reimbursement of costs will be made after verification by Chugach.
Participating hosts must agree to provide Chugach information about the usage of the chargers for 36 months following installation. This may be done by granting Chugach access to data from networked chargers, installing the chargers on separately metered services or some other arrangement agreeable to both the host and Chugach.
