Chugach schedules public meeting in Hope
Representatives of Chugach Electric Association will discuss upcoming projects at a public meeting in Hope. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 23 at the Hope Social Hall. At a meeting of Hope, Inc. in January, Chugach representatives reviewed the causes of last winter’s outages for customers served by the Hope Substation. Planned and proposed projects were outlined. Much progress has been made, and construction activities are now anticipated in both 2012 and 2013. Chugach representatives will be back to update area residents on four projects designed to improve electric service in the Hope and Sunrise areas.
Chugach is the largest electric utility in Alaska, providing power for Alaskans throughout the Railbelt through retail, wholesale and economy energy sales.
