Reminder for Smart Power program kick off Thursday, Jan. 15

Chugach Electric Association and Municipal Light & Power would like to remind you of the kick off of their joint program to help residential customers save money. The kick off of their Smart Power CFL coupon program will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 15 at Chugach's headquarters building at 5601 Electron Drive.

As part of the program, customers of both utilities will be able to use $2 off coupons to buy compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), redeemable at three Anchorage Brown's Electrical Supply locations. Coupons will arrive with customer's bills. Coupons will also be available at the utilities' customer service departments and at the Brown's locations.

Chugach is the largest electric utility in Alaska, providing power for Alaskans throughout the Railbelt through retail, wholesale and economy energy sales. ML&P serves the downtown Anchorage commercial district and surrounding residential areas.
