Turkey Run

Chugach Electric donated 409 turkeys to local organizations, including the Salvation Army, the Anchorage Rescue Mission and the Food Bank of Alaska. Chugach nearly doubled the number of turkeys donated this year after hearing that there was an urgent need in the community. Chugach Courier Jerry Helton picked up the turkeys Chugach had purchased, loaded them into a truck and distributed them Nov. 24 and 25. Chugach donated a turkey for each employee and Chugach board member.
