Two members run for Chugach board
Two Chugach Electric Association members are running for two seats on the cooperative's board of directors in this spring's election. Each seat is for a three-year term.
The 2004 candidates are David J. Cottrell and Bruce E. Davison. Both are incumbents and were nominated by the Nominating Committee.
Cottrell, 57, is a managing partner/president, CPA with Mikunda, Cottrell Accounting & Consulting. He has been a Chugach member for 25-30 years.
Davison, 55, is an attorney with Davison & Davison. He has been a Chugach member for 10 1/2 years.
In addition, members may vote on one proposed bylaw amendment that would eliminate director term limits.
Mail-voting packets were mailed to the 61,679 Chugach members of record the week of March 29. Members have until noon on April 26 to return mail ballots. Voting will also be allowed at the cooperative's annual meeting April 29 at the Egan Civic & Convention Center. Results of the election will be announced at the annual meeting.
