Thousands of school kids learned about electric safety
Thanks to Chugach Electric Association, thousands of school kids learned how to be safe when near electric facilities. Chugach Electric uses a safety presentation to demonstrate electrical safety to children and other organizations. The demonstration uses a miniaturized live electric system, toys and dolls to show people how to be safe around electricity.

During the recently-completed 2005 - 2006 school year, Chugach performed demonstrations at 33 schools, reaching more than 2,300 children. In addition, Chugach made safety presentations to other organizations including the Alaska Railroad and Alaska General Contractors. Those presentations reached an additional 1,200 people.
While the school year is now over, Chugach may still perform a demonstration for your organization. For more information, call Chugach's safety department at 762-4545.
Chugach is the largest electric utility in Alaska, providing power for Alaskans throughout the Railbelt through retail, wholesale and economy energy sales.
