Glenfarne, Chugach sign letter of intent for natural gas from Alaska LNG pipeline
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Monday, June 15, 2026) – Today Glenfarne Group, LLC subsidiary Glenfarne Alaska LNG, LLC announced that the company has signed a Letter of Intent with Chugach Electric Association for the supply of natural gas from the Alaska LNG pipeline.
Chugach Electric Association is committed to providing its customers with safe, reliable, and affordable electricity. Consistent with that need, Glenfarne and Chugach Electric Association have signed a non-binding Letter of Intent clarifying key terms in negotiation for Glenfarne’s supply of North Slope Gas to Chugach via the Alaska Gas Pipeline. Glenfarne and Chugach recognize the significance of this opportunity and look forward to further negotiations aimed at securing a low-cost energy future for Alaskans.
About Alaska LNG
Alaska LNG consists of an 807-mile 42-inch pipeline to deliver natural gas from Alaska’s North Slope to meet Alaska’s domestic needs and produce 20 MTPA of LNG for export. Glenfarne is developing Alaska LNG in two financially independent phases to accelerate project execution. Phase One includes the domestic pipeline to deliver natural gas to Alaskans.
