With safety vests and the bright orange iconic trash bags, Team Chugach joined the 2026 Anchorage Citywide Cleanup. The team picked up dozens of bags of trash, sprucing up the area around Chugach facilities.
Chugach participated in the Anchorage Home Builders Association Home Show April 11–12 at the Alaska Airlines Center, spending the weekend connecting with our members. It was a pleasure to catch up with familiar faces and meet new ones while sharing information and answering questions.
Staff shared insights on a wide range of topics, including energy efficiency, gas supply, and details about the upcoming annual meeting and election, while highlighting available member resources.
As part of the continued effort to connect with members and provide important information about Chugach, we hosted a Town Hall at the BP Energy Center on March 24. About 40 Chugach members attended the event, which featured a welcome from Board Chair Mark Wiggin, an update on priorities and accomplishments from CEO Arthur Miller, and a question/answer session with the executive team. Watch a recording of the event here.
Chugach was pleased to be a sponsor of the 2026 Alaska State Spelling Bee. The annual event brings together the top spellers in 4th to 8th grade from across Alaska. This year, 75 spellers went through 23 rounds of spelling.
The winning word was thrasonical. The winner, an 8th grader from Kenai Middle School, will represent Alaska at the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
This is a unique opportunity to get first-hand information from Chugach leaders. Come hear an update from leadership on programs and priorities of the cooperative including gas supply, renewable projects, recent accomplishments, and more. Members will have a chance to ask questions about issues that concern them.
This event is on March 24 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Birch Room at the BP Energy Center.
