  • Campbell Lake Substation rebuild

    Chugach is rebuilding the Campbell Lake Substation in South Anchorage. The purpose of this project is to replace the aging infrastructure as the equipment is 50 years old and is no longer adequate to serve the area. Chugach is replacing the transformer and the switchgear in the substation to ensure reliability to the area and to address safety concerns that come with having equipment at the end of its serviceable life.

  • Chugach donates hundreds of turkeys to Alaska non-profits

    Chugach is continuing its tradition of supporting Alaska families over the holidays by donating 450 turkeys to ten local non-profits. For more than 20 years, Chugach has donated turkeys to local non-profits to fill the need for holiday meals throughout the local area. The turkeys are purchased from Carrs/Safeway and distributed by Chugach. The organizations receiving the turkeys this year include:

  • More than $3 million in capital credits returned to Chugach members

    Spreading some holiday cheer, Chugach Electric Association, Inc., (Chugach) is sending capital credits to thousands of past and long-term members as part of a more than $3 million retail capital credit retirement.
