Standard & Poor's Ratings Services provided a great holiday gift to Chugach Electric's members. Standard & Poor’s upgraded the rating outlook from "negative" to "stable" while maintaining the bond rating at A -.

At last night's meeting, the Chugach Electric Association Board of Directors appointed Ray Kreig to the seat on the board vacated by Chris Birch who was elected to the Anchorage Assembly in April.

Chugach Electric Association board chairman Jeff Lipscomb was recently elected to a 3-year term on the Northwest Public Power Association board of trustees at its annual meeting in May.

The Board of Directors and Joe Griffith announce that Mr. Griffith will be stepping down from his position of Chief Executive Officer of Chugach Electric Association, Inc. on September 2, 2005.

Alan Christopherson, Uwe Kalenka and Elizabeth "Liz" Vazquez were elected to 3-year terms on the Chugach Electric Association board of directors. Election results were announced at the cooperative utility's annual meeting Thursday evening, April 28.

Seven Chugach Electric Association members are running for three seats on the cooperative's board of directors in this spring's election. Each seat is for a three-year term.
